Tadashi Uchino é professor de Estudos de Performances no Departamento de Estudos Culturais Interdisciplinares da Escola Superior de Artes e Ciências da Universidade de Tóquio. Ele é Mestre em Literatura Americana (1984) e Doutor em Performance Studies (2001) pela Universidade de Tóquio. E é também um recorrente editor convidado de vários números da revista The Drama Review.
